Mega Chenille Yarn 300g 29m 20ply Solid Lavender

Lavender is a soft, dusty purple, closer to a Tasmanian lavender field in bloom than a bright violet or grape purple. It works in a nursery just as easily as it works as a feature colour in an adult's bedroom.

Made from 100% super soft polyester in our thickest weight (20 ply, Jumbo 7), it's a good option for an oversized throw, a bedroom cushion, or a gender-neutral baby blanket.

It also suits a plush bunny or amigurumi toy, giving handmade pieces a softer, slightly old-fashioned look than a brighter purple would.

Lavender works equally well as a crochet yarn or a hand knitting yarn, and because it's so thick, plenty of people use it for arm knitting a chunky blanket with no tools at all. Either way, the stitch count for a full-size throw is a fraction of what you'd need in a standard yarn weight.
